The Karin and Spring story

One day there was a beautiful "young" girl named Karin.  She gets all dressed up to go to the Nutcracker with her family.  Although the Nutcracker is a beautiful representation of a classic tale, Karin was quite bored by the monotony of seeing it for the 3rd time.  Her mind drifted to something new, something different, a little adventure.

On the other side of the world was a very mature girl named Spring getting ready for her big rugby banquet.  Spring was quite excited about the evening, so much so that it deemed the ever powerful cowboy hat.  After some drinking and a lot of talking, Spring and her renegade friends decided to hit the town with their sparkling personalities.

Out at the infamous Sue Ellens, the bass was pumping, and the rugby girls were dancing.  Unbeknownst to Spring there were a few girls trying to give her the eye.  But as always she is too caught up with her friends to even notice.

Meanwhile, at a bar really near by, Karin is finally away from the calming nature of the Nutcracker off to have some crazy fun of her own.  Of course Karin is looking ever so attractive and the girlies can't help themselves, including her own friends.  It doesn't take long before one of them crosses the solid boundary of friendship and leans in to plant a big wet one on Karin, to which she reciprocates.

Eventually Karin and her friends make it over to Spring's habitat of the evening.  Spring's friends are on their way out and Spring is deciding whether she wants to stay when the cupid of the evening appears and asks Spring if she is single.  Of course that answer is yes, and then is brought face to face with this stunning young thing. Immediately they strike up a conversation and exchange phone numbers.  Before Spring knows it, these uncontrollable urges take control and she breaks a cardinal rule and kisses Karin in the middle of the bar.

The days following, Spring's mind often drifts to this wonder she met at the bar, but she easily dismisses it as another random happening at Sue's.  But come the work day she is greeted by a message from the lovely girl.  Spring is rather impressed and decides to charm the girl with her ever lengthening written thoughts.  They decide to meet again for another encounter at the place of their original meeting, Sue's.

As usual, Spring is there with her gang and they are enjoying the evening, when Spring gets all excited when her phone rings.  It is loud and things aren't completely worked out, but luckily enough for Spring, Karin find her way down there and to her.  The evening is wrecked by Spring's 24x7 job, but she is happy anyway.  Sent on her way home with a sweet kiss from Karin, she snuggles into her bed with a smile on her face.

The next night brings some one on one time with Spring and Karin.  Karin shows up at Spring's door, wait in her parking lot, and Spring has to go out to get her, but close enough.  They choose to relax indoors and watch a DVD, (I believe Eyes Wide Shut help me out here??).  Spring loves the movie and tries to psycho-analyze it, but Karin is not too impressed, so Spring drops it.  The clock ticks on.  Karin is so enthralled with the movie that she barely glances at Spring.  Is this a sign?  Well Spring takes her chances and lays one on Karin.  After a rather lengthy kissing session interrupted by multitudes of laughter it is atlas very very late.  Karin heads for home, and Spring wonders how she is going to make it to work and to her flight home for the holidays.

The next week brings distance between Spring and Karin, about 1500 miles of distance.  What is the old adage about distance?  Spring and Karin talk during the week, and with the help of email put some foundation to this new found relationship.  It is unfortunate that they miss each other on their New Years plans, but there is plenty of time to make up for it.

Spring returns from her lengthy trip, late by a delayed flight, but not at all deterred by it. She is still excited to see Karin, and thus she summons her (sorry couldn't help it, it was the first word that came to mind).  Karin appears for another lengthy evening.  This evening is an evening of truth though.  To cut the tension, Spring and Karin decide to go to neutral ground and calm themselves with a beverage.  Because here in lies some misconceptions that Spring was led to believe about Karin.  Springs gulps her beer, as fateful red flags start to appear.  She tries to shake this truth, but cannot, instead she tucks it away to be dealt with later.

The next week brings some late nights, but the weekend accumulates with the relationship being taken to the next level.  Albeit, a little one-sided next level, but very meaningful, at least to Spring.  The next week brings some conflicts, both in the bedroom and with some baggage of Karin's.  Spring is over taken with rational ideals about the situation and can't fully comprehend everything that is going on or the mass emotion rising inside her.  She tries to fight it, but knows that it only means one thing, that she might just really like this girl.
